  I'm currently at work at the Long Island Railroad. If the Company and unions don't come back to the negotiation we're all walking off the job at 12:01 am. The energy here is palpable... it's going to get very messy if we strike.

      Yes, like every political body, unions have a fair share of scandal. With unions it tends to be a bit less sophisticated.

  This is just extortion. There shouldn’t be unions in the public sector or private sector when it’s mostly funded by public funds and there’s no competition possible.

    If you joined one you wouldn't feel that way. Don't hate them because the have a good job with security you wish you had.

    There's no other mechanism for labor to protect itself from large corporation.
